Ron became a friend when he and 2 of his friends, one Anthony Marti from Long Beach, would entertain in a little bar in Big Bear Lake, CA. He was seriously into plants and helped me start an indoor potted garden in my Moonridge home. It's funny how these memories crop up, his favorites were the peperomia plants. I was a hiker and asked him to join me on an all-day hike up to Mt. San Gorgonio, about halfway up we got hit by a mighty lightning storm, We ran hither and tither trying to escape the strikes, I think we made it to the crest but that was a horrific experience. I still remember it clearly, I'm 80 now and retired. It sounds like Ron had a good life. RIP. Your friend, Michael Cota
