Sally Ann Wike, 86, died 2 April, 2023 in Simi Valley, California.


She was born 18 February 1937 in El Monte, California, to Orville Lewis Wike and Violet Johanna Kersten.

She had two brothers, Norman Wike who preceded her in death, Gary Wike, and half-brother Merle Gilmore.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Beyond her primary job of bringing up five children, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting ceramics, making porcelain dolls, and sewing.

Sally was very social and fostered countless lifelong friendships. She could strike up a conversation with just about anybody, including a wrong number or two.

She was compassionate and welcoming to those who needed a listening ear or a safe place to be.


She is survived by three of her children: Linda Sorg of Tucson, AZ; Kevin Shuler of West Jordan, UT; and Aaron Shuler of Pinehurst, NC; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Denise Shuler, and a son, Joel Shuler, preceded her in death.


Interment at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

Services will be private.
