Mary Margaret Flacco was born in Ontario, Canada on November 26, 1951 and grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan as the eldest of seven and the child of Dutch immigrants. She moved to California in her early 20s, working as a hair stylist, and met the love of her life, Nick. She traveled the country as a proud Navy spouse and raised two cherished children, Jordan and Nicole. She’s a graduate of California State Northridge and received her teaching credential in 2008.


Mary was an avid quilter, a green thumb who loved getting her fingers in the dirt, a magnificent cook who loved hosting, a yogi instructor of valley wide renown, and a lifelong friend to felines. But above all else, she loved being home with her family.


Everyone she met has been touched by her warmth, her kindness, and her enthusiastic fun-loving spirit.


Mary passed away in her home, surrounded by her family on May 16, 2022.


She is survived by her beloved husband Nick, her adoring daughter Nicole and her husband Zach, her loving son Jordan and his wife Jamie, and her wild grandson, Otis.


A memorial service will be held June 3rd at 11:00 at Lifehouse Church in Northridge.
