Obituary of Ole Michael Larsen

Michael was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and educated at Santa Monica High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from CSUN. He was a lifelong student of History, Science, and Mathematics. He was a member of the American Association for Advancement of Science. He had a brilliant mind. Mike was an excellent car mechanic and an accomplished photographer. He was a proud Marine in the USMC serving in the Vietnam War, and received numerous awards and medals in photography and marksmanship. He was a recipient of the USMC Medal of Honor. Michael Larsen had a daughter, Kelli, and two sisters, Annemona and Margaret, who he very much loved and who still reside in Denmark. He was also an Uncle to two nieces, Sonja and Joanna with grandnieces Danika and Rachelle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He died peacefully with his best friend at his side. He will be interred at the Miramar National Veterans’ Cemetery in the City of San Diego with full Military Honors on June 5, 2024.
