I met Dora while working at the Pacific Missile Test Center, Point Mugu in the 1950's. She was a wonderful person, and through the years we stayed in touch and I looked forward to our times together. She was one of the few people I had ever met that was true to her faith and her belief in God. She could be funny, serious. was extremely family oriented and had tremendous love for her children and grandchildren. I tried to reach her during the last few months; my letter came back "unable to deliver" and her telephone had been disconnected. Finally decided to try looking in the obituary section of the local newspaper. I was so shocked and saddened when her obituary came up, I had not seen her in about three years. I know she is jn Heaven. She had a heart of gold. So goodbye Dora, I will really miss you and will always hold you near to my heart. Ruth Parry

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I tried to call Dora yesterday and found out that her phone had been disconnected. So I did a search and found her obituary. Dora was a dear friend of my mom Lois Davis Dewester. They were classmates and cheerleaders together. My mom passed away last October 30. She and Dora would talk frequently and send cards and letters to each other. I had spoken with Dora three or four times since my mother's death. I always enjoyed talking with her about their school days in Paris Crossing. She was a wonderful person and a dear friend to my mom. I believe that Dora was the last living Member of the class of 1949. Their class reunion is scheduled for this Friday and would have been their 75th reunion. She will be greatly missed!

My grandmother loved her grandchildren with the deepest bond. Her passion for Jesus Christ was the light of her world. She loved to share that light with her grandchildren and prayed for their salvation. I love you grandma. You will me missed.

Aunt Dora was an extremely strong willed woman as anyone who knew her could attest to! She loved her family & friends fiercely, & was devastated by the loss of her children & grandchild..She managed her grief with her staunch belief in her Christian faith.. Parkinson’s took her physical strength, but did not diminish her mind. She raised & took care of her son, Dennys’ turtles..She was incredibly interested in politics and was a lifelong Democrat! Aunt Dora was truly “ Dora the Explorer” and traveled around the world! I’m so thankful she’s no longer in pain and reunited with her loved ones! Love you Aunt Dora

Great Aunt Dora was an amazing woman with many worthwhile stories to tell! She had an absolutely contagious laugh and it was a good time when she would come back to Indiana to visit.
What an amazing life she led as the matriarch and solid foundation for her family.
I am happy she will be joining her loved ones at the pearly gates….she will be missed here on earth!
Sending love and prayers for peace and comfort.
