Carol Ann Kellogg. 81, passed suddenly early on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster CA. Carol was born to James and Mildred Chiarella in Boston, Massachusetts in 1942. Her father worked at the Boston Shipyard and her mother raised their 5 daughters and one son. The Chiarella's were a Catholic family. Carol met her husband James, a Navy sailor in Revere Massachusetts in 1960 and had their first child in 1962. Carol, a faithful Navy wife raised 5 children while her husband was often at sea and frequently moving through the United States. After a career of Navy life the family finally settled in Palmdale California where they lived until their deaths. Carol's husband, James worked at the various aerospace firms in the Valley. He passed away in September of 2023. Carol had lost a grandchild, Shannon in the summer of 2022. The death of James was further sorrowful and seemed to aggravate underlying health problems for Carol leading to Heart Failure. Carol's 2nd son John had passed away in 2008, The remaining 4 children, unaware of any health concerns, were at her bedside at AV Hospital when she passed. A heartbreaking series of events that has shocked us all. Carol was full of Love and Kindness for all that knew her. She was forgiving to a fault. She spent time with her family and we will forever miss her. Carol was an avid gardener and always added color to the various naval bases and housing where she and her family dwelt. A serious Elvis Presley fan, she never lost her love of 50's bebop and early rock and roll. She was very fond of dogs and always had at least one faithful companion. Carol was also an artist. She loved knitting and crochet but her passion was in painting and she painted hundreds of oils, pastels, and acrylics that adorn the family home. She is survived by her Son James and Daughters Karen, Kelli, and Kimberly, as well as her 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Greatgrandchild with her life spanning 5 generations. Her Love and Kindness will be missed by us all.
