Shana Marie Jackson was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Oscar Charles Jackson and Wilbertene Williams.

Shana attended San Fernando High School in San Fernando, California upon graduation she attended Cal State Fullerton. During this time she met her first husband , James Hamp Geran. They married and moved to Louisiana. In 1982, they had their first child, Jadiliana Jalia Geran. In 1984, Darius James Geran was born.

In 1986 they moved back to California and co-parented their 2 children. During this time, they were fortunate to have the support & love of their families to help raise their children.

During this time, Shana returned to college at California State Northridge and received her Bachelors degree in English. Soon after she pursued her Real Estate license and Notary License in the State of California.

In 2006, she married her second husband, William “Bill” Henry Schirmer. They resided in Palmdale, California. Shana was preceded in death by Bill on April 5, 2023.

Shana leaves behind her two children, Jadiliana Estrada and Darius Geran, son-in-law, Juan Estrada and three grandchildren; Ramon James Estrada (15), Jaden Andrew Estrada (13) and Ryan Alexander Estrada (9).

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery to honor her life and her commitment to family.
