Thomas Lee Cribbs, 82, of Lake Hughes, California passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 15, 2023. He was born August 29, 1941 to George and Edna (Walbeck) Cribbs in Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Charlene. Tom, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather is survived by his wife, Jennifer; sons, Michael (Dawn) and Jeff (Tammy) and daughter, Tori Nicolas (Max); 8 grandchildren; Ty Cribbs, Kacy Mendes, Steven Nicolas, Alissa Gonzales, Breanna Cribbs, Tanner Cribbs, Kaitlyn D’Elisio, Brandin Nicolas; 13 great grandchildren and Uncle Tom to numerous nieces and nephews. Tom graduated from high school in Torrance, CA. He worked for North American Aviation/Rockwell for 26 years. He contributed to the Apollo, Space Shuttle, and B-1 programs in Downey and Palmdale, CA, Tulsa, OK, and Kennedy Space Center, FL. He also worked at Northrop Grumman on the B2, in Palmdale. In 1987 he went to work for himself as owner/operator of California Quarry Products. He sold the business in 1993 and semi-retired. He never sat still. He renovated 31 properties and kept or flipped them before it was a thing. In recent years, he enjoyed entering his antique cars in shows and took many trophies. He liked to play Keno in Laughlin and had a place in Lake Havasu, AZ that he loved to spend time at. Tom had an easy-going personality that allowed him to make friends wherever he went. He had a great laugh and loved spending time with family and friends. A celebration of life will be held in Lake Hughes, early next year. Donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Doberman Pinscher Rescue in Fillmore, California.
