Brian Patrick Fitzgerald Obituary

Brian Patrick Fizgerald, age 68, passed away December 4, 2025 in Thousand Oaks, CA.

He was born February 8, 1957 at a Boston Army Air Base hospital to Barbara and the late Vincent Fitzgerald.

Brian had a zeal for life that not many can claim and had a contagious energy that was the life of any party. For 40 years he was a mobile DJ under his business, California Sound, but also had other entertainment related occupations throughout the years – SAG actor, model, mime, and registered clown.

He loved the outdoors, spending lots of time at the beach, and running a total of 201 marathons. He was extremely creative, creating lanyards for special occasions, and to commemorate each of his marathons. He also handmade greeting cards and Christmas ornaments each year, the latter he had done for the past 34 years.

He loved sports, watching his Green Bay Packers from home and from Lambeau Field when he could. He was a proud owner and would sit in the bleachers behind the field goal posts that his ownership fee helped to fund. He loved watching the Los Angeles Dodgers and was ecstatic about them winning the past two World Series!

Brian’s biggest love was for his daughter and his granddaughter, who he would have spent every single second of every single day with if he could have. Those that spent any amount of time with him most likely heard at least one story about them, if not multiple, and once his granddaughter was born, probably heard the phrase “Lunamazing” in reference to her.

Brian recently said he had no regrets in life and thoroughly enjoyed trying so many things. Other remembrances include his visiting every single one of the 50 US states, his enjoyment of a good Irish lager, a single malt scotch and a good energy drink (just to balance things out). He delighted in sharing $2.00 bill tips to someone he had a personal interaction with which usually generated a smile and their comment, “Are these real?”, which made him laugh.

Brian will be missed forever by all the people whose lives he touched, especially his family, his daughter and new granddaughter, and those who experienced his genuine sense of selflessness and enduring passion for life.

He is predeceased by his father, Vincent Fitzgerald. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Fitzgerald, his daughter Cortney (Jacob) Gee and granddaughter Luna Ruth Gee, his brothers Kevin (Pam) Fitzgerald and Lee (Carrie) Fitzgerald, and a niece and three nephews, Kaitlin, Perry, Kyle, and Shane. All remembrances will be private.
