Margaret Ann Davis Graham died March 24th in her home in Palmdale, California surrounded by loved ones. Margaret was born in Sweet Home, Arkansas on July 25, 1943 to Margie Gossett Davis and Johnnie C. Davis, Sr. near the home of her maternal grandparents.
She was predeceased by her brother, Johnnie C. Davis, Jr., and son, Carlton “Skip” Collins.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 51 years, Merlin “Bud” Graham. She left behind four children; Laura Gomez of Blue Springs, MO, Mark Collins of Kingsland, AR, Michael Graham of Elizabethton, TN, and Meredith Graham of Lancaster, CA. Also left behind is Suly Shiplett, who Margaret loved as her own. Margaret also became very close to son-in-law Mitch Marquez as he was always there to lovingly see to her needs. She is also survived by five siblings; Mary Miller, Larry Davis, Connie Clutter, Judy Beaumont and Edna Owens. Twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren will cherish her memory.
Margaret was beyond loving and generous. She often sent money to loved ones or neighbors for birthdays, college classes, or any need she anticipated them having, often without them even asking! She supported several charities including Red Cross, SERT Ministries, Native American Children, and Heifer International, just to name a few! She loved helping people to help themselves. To honor her memory, donations to any of these in her name would be quite fitting!
Margaret will be cremated and taken home to Arkansas later this year. “Supper for Mom” will be a celebration of her life on April 5, 2025 in Lancaster, Ca at the home of Meredith Graham.
