It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, MaryJane Bushmeyer, on January 31, 2025. She was 73 years old and passed peacefully in Lancaster, CA.

Born in Youngtown, Ohio on January 18, 1952, MaryJane was the second child of William and Rose Anne Evans. The family, including her brother David Evans, moved to Northridge, California when they were children. It was there that MaryJane met her first husband, Robert O’Connell, with whom she had her three children. She met her second husband, Donald Bushmeyer and they were married 24 years residing in Lancaster, CA until he passed just a few months before MaryJane.

MaryJane was devoted to her family and close friends and loved spending hours on the phone keeping in touch. She was active in the Catholic church and had a passion for dogs, especially her last dog, Sammie. If she wasn’t swimming in her pool, or boating with her husband Don in the summers, you could find MaryJane doing crossword puzzles, dancing, or taking pictures with her family. Whatever she was doing, there was usually a glass of Pepsi nearby.

If you had the pleasure of knowing MaryJane the way we did, you will miss her great sense of humor and unique personality. You never doubted her unconditional love for her family and those she knew. She was definitely one of a kind.

MaryJane is survived by her children and seven grandchildren: Robert S. O’Connell, Kathleen Ransdell and Michelle Wood, and their children Kathryn and Melanie O’Connell, Chase and Lola Ransdell, and Micayla, Mason and Rylie Wood.
