It is with deep sorrow that we must announce the passing of Dr. Kathleen Mahurin. She died at the age of 78 years young on December 13th, 2024 in Ventura County.

Kathleen was born on December 24th, 1945 in Los Angeles, California.

My mom loved school and helping people. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA as well as her master's degree. She then went to USC to receive her doctorate.

My mom was a wife, a mother, a scientist, a professor, and then settled into private practice as a nero psychologist. She helped a lot of people in her life. However ,her greatest achievement was raising her two children. She had a daughter, Elizabeth Mahurin and a son, Michael Mahurin.

My mom will be remembered for her love for her family and friends, her generosity, her sense of humor, and incredible strength in the face of adversity.

A celebration of life is pending until after the holidays. This will not be a sad occasion since I know my mommie is in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is not goodbye, it is we will be together soon. We love you mom.
